A Celebration

A Celebration!

Psalm 145:7

I wish for all of us that our New Year 2021 will be better, healthier, and prosperous than previous.

I wish too that we continue walking with God, trusting His words and keeping our faith with much love among us. The fact that we are in one race, that is “Human Race”, we ought to seek to love one another under the love of God which is in Christ Jesus. Amen🙏

Let’s all be cheerful and hopeful for New Year 2021! Yihey!!!🎉🥳🎊🥳🎉🎊🥳🎉

❤️How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How vast is the sum of them! If I could count them, they would outnumber the sand. (Psalm 139:17-18)

❤️”Therefore I tell you, stop being worried or anxious (perpetually uneasy, distracted) about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, as to what you will wear. Is life not more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air; they neither sow [seed] nor reap [the harvest] nor gather [the crops] into barns, and yet your heavenly Father keeps feeding them. Are you not worth much more than they? And who of you by worrying can add one hour to [the length of] his life? And why are you worried about clothes? See how the lilies and wildflowers of the field grow; they do not labor nor do they spin [wool to make clothing], yet I say to you that not even Solomon in all his glory and splendor dressed himself like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive and green today and tomorrow is [cut and] thrown [as fuel] into the furnace, will He not much more clothe you? You of little faith! Therefore do not worry or be anxious (perpetually uneasy, distracted), saying, ‘What are we going to eat?’ or ‘What are we going to drink?’ or ‘What are we going to wear?’ For the [pagan] Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; [but do not worry,] for your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But first and most importantly seek (aim at, strive after) His kingdom and His righteousness [His way of doing and being right—the attitude and character of God], and all these things will be given to you also. “So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. (Matthew 6:25-34)

Since all these things are to be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be [in the meantime] *in holy behavior [that is, in a pattern of daily life that sets you apart as a believer] and **in godliness [displaying profound reverence toward our awesome God], [while you earnestly] look for and await the coming of the day of God. For on this day the heavens will be destroyed by burning, and the [material] elements will melt with intense heat! But in accordance with His promise we (Christian believers) expectantly await new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness dwells. (2 Peter 3:11-13)

Wishing you all a holy, jolly, merry Christmas. Enjoy your holiday with your love ones. Take care everyone and keep safe. God bless us all!🙏❤️

Visiting Interlaken

I started my journey from Paris Gare Lyon 🇫🇷to Basel then to Interlaken🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

I was really freezing while waiting for my train to Switzerland.🥶…then like 5 minutes after arrival to Basel, I need to hop on another train right away going to Interlaken.

And while on train, here are some of the sceneries.

I visited my long time friend after like 40 years. She married a Swiss and they have 2 daughters. I just met one of her daughters though. They are all sweet and warm people. They welcomed me in their house so generously🤗

On my first day, my friend who I am so fond with like my own big sister treated me a dinner at this famous hotel, the “Victoria Jungfrau Grand Hotel”

We ordered our food and had a great meal. We were both so full afterwards🤗🤗🤗

The following day, I woke up and went to the garden and just enjoyed the morning breeze….

So beautiful views….

“The morning breeze has secrets to tell you. Do not go back to sleep.” ~rumi~

After a hearty breakfast, we walked around the city afterwards…

We had so much fun too like children😬😁😀

On my second night. We went out drinking red wine and tequila. What a combination, right? So what would you expect happened afterwards?

Anyways we both had a very good sleep that we thought we would miss going to the top of Interlaken.

But no, not a chance. Though we struggled waking up. We went up still to the “Harder-Kulm” 😁😄😃

When we reached the top “Harderkulm”, she said I have to try the “Swiss Cheese Fondue”.

Wow! It was really true cheesy and delicious😋😋😋

Three nights and four days spent in Interlaken was really joyful.

“People don’t take trips, trips take people”, and thanks to my big sister and friend, Rosemarie. Her warm welcome to me made my trip to Interlaken as awesome as possible, in-spite of the fact that it was really freezing at this season.

She said, I must come back during summer and promised that I will enjoy more😍

Thanks so much big sister. Until next trip😘❤️

A New Chapter Begins…

I feel great to tell everyone that I am now single.

Three years after my separation (2005), I have filed a marriage annulment (2008).

At long last this year 2013, last September 30, the court has decided and ordered that my marriage was null and void.

I am so happy as ever.

Happy because a new chapter begins in my life and I can move on forward.

Some of you may wonder and would ask me, “do you have any regrets at all?  Do you feel sad?

Well, honestly I do not have any regrets at all.  I have four beautiful, loving and responsible kids.  They are now all grown-ups and as a mother I am so fulfilled that I manage to put them all to school.  A year from now my first daughter, Maria Ahtalia will soon finish her Dentistry course and become a successful Dental Surgeon or Orthodontist.  My second daughter, Greta Garda will soon graduate in IT course 5 months from now to become a successful Digital Arts Designer. My third daughter, Tajah Jireh will soon to become a famous Fashion Designer, 3 years from now.  And my son, Picardo Leo, who is now in Secondary Schoool wanted to become the most wanted Architect one day.

I sounded so positive!  But that is most of mothers wished  for their children, aren’t we all?

Sad? Yes, there is a little sadness in a way that my marriage for 12 years did not work to  last.  But ending it, is the best thing to do and very smart move and I never and I won’t ever regret it.  I have the rest of my life now to look forward to and so I must make the most of it and feel thankful to my God in every moment as possible and ask His guidance and wisdom on how I take charge of my life and make a difference.

I believe that everytihnig happens for a reason.  I have a full life and I take these life challenges in a positive outlook. I move on with my life. I keep adjusting to needs and keeping all vital areas of my life in balance. I will continue to passionately pursue my mission or goal and I will never ever quit.

Life goes on and a new chapter begins. 🙂

Last week November 30… My kids and I went to go house hunting.  And we wished to get and own a Victorian kind of house in this beautiful Village and Resort Community to live by one day 🙂

Toothsome Is Crying Her Heart Out For Syria

Free Syria

Help Free Syria!

One of my colleagues who happens to be my best friend here is a Syrian.  I went to visit his Dental Office to give him some sweet and he broke me the news that his University was bombed by their Government Military and around 100 students died.  Click here.

I asked about how his parents are coping with their day to day living, because the last time I talked to his mom was like 3 years ago and Syria was still peaceful back then.

He said that they already lost their family house and everything in there were all stolen and now his parents moved to his house.  His parents and siblings are all there.  He tried to get them and bring them here but unfortunately the  Government here had stopped issuing visa for the Syrian people.  He said they do not have electricity, plus it’s winter too, so his father now of 85 years old is sick.  I asked him if there is a way for them to come out from Syria and go to nearby countries.  He said there is no more airport in Syria and if they will go to Turkey, the refugee camp there is not so accommodating and people are mistreated.  So his parents decided to just stay in his house to live and if they die or got bombed or killed then they die.  They just leave it to God’s mercy.

I just found myself in tears.  How there are people who wish to harm other people only to gain power.

My heart goes to Syrian people and I hope and pray that they will soon be free.

I visited Syria last 2005, and it was really a beautiful country.  Photos below were taken in Aleppo Citadel.  October, 2005.

And today their own people destroyed their own country.  It’s really sad 😦

Is there anything we can do about it?  Well personally I do not really know how but the only thing I know for sure that I could do is to offer my prayers for them.

I would like to end this post with this country song by Ricky Skaggs. Enjoy!
As we all know Toothsome, she always like us to end our days with a smile 🙂

The stats helper monkeys prepared a 2012 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

19,000 people fit into the new Barclays Center to see Jay-Z perform. This blog was viewed about 130,000 times in 2012. If it were a concert at the Barclays Center, it would take about 7 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.

Dolly’s Gifts… A Short Fiction Story by JAuroraMorealist … And Now I Challenge You!

By the age of eight, ginger-haired Dolly and her flaxen-haired friend Rosemary were old hands at life and privately giggled behind their hands at their parents. Not in a nasty way, just in the “oh, all right, then, Mummy” way that little girls and boys often do. Inseparable was what their parents all called the girls. On a bleak holiday afternoon with no school for days, Rosemary was away visiting her grandparents and Dolly found herself alone again in the house with one of the servants.

“Balvir, what are you doing?” Dolly asked, her curious, freckled nose poking over the counter as she stood watching the slim woman straining a white mixture through cheese cloth.

“I am making paneer,” Balvir said.

“I love paneer! Can I help?”

Dolly’s eager hands knocked the bowl over before Balvir could react. The clots of cheese dribbled down the counter onto the floor and Balvir’s cloth dangled from one hand. Dolly instantly shut her big, blue eyes and her shoulders automatically hunched up together, waiting…  Balvir spoke quickly.

“Don’t worry, Dolly, we will make again, I need you help me.”

She smiled and Dolly relaxed into the warmth of the kitchen, the fragrances of goodness and safety that would wrap her in comfort long into the future.

Rosemary arrived home with gifts, full of stories of fun with her parents and grandparents, snowy sleigh rides, bells, hot cocoa, sparkling city lights on all the towers around Big Ben and an unexpected surprise for Dolly.

“So what did you do while I was away,” she asked, as soon as the two were settled in Rosemary’s frilly pink bedroom. Rosemary wore her new red velvet Christmas dress with shoes to match. Even the ribbons in her braided hair were exactly the same shade of red as the dress.

Dolly thought about this and brightened, “I made paneer with Balvir!”

“Oh, so what,” Rosemary said. “So you made cheese. Who cares about that, anybody can do that. What else did you do?”

Again, Dolly fell quiet.

“I love Balvir. She is the kindest person I know,” Dolly said, twirling one of her soft ginger curls around a finger like a corkscrew.

“Oh, bloody hell, she’s a servant and she is cinnamon skinned, why would you love her?” Rosemary asked.

Busy pulling her cache out to display for Dolly, she failed to notice Dolly had already moved to the door.

Dolly yanked the door open with one hand and turned to answer Rosemary who was now paying attention. At full attention, frozen with all her pretty gifts in her hands just the way Dolly would remember her forever.

“Balvir’s skin is REAL! And it’s not cheese, it’s PANEER, you idiot!”

Dolly ran all the way home before she realized that she still held the gift she’d meant to give Rosemary in her hand.  A handmade gift she had fashioned with Balvir’s help, a Christmas tree ornament they’d painted over with a map of the world, the land all gold, the waters all blue, the same beautiful lands and waters that separated Balvir from her family.  Once inside her own bedroom, Dolly tore the tag off the gift and replaced it with a new, larger tag that read:

Happy Christmas to Balvir my beloved best friend.
With love forever from  Dolly.
Condense, condense, the teachers say
No room for murk or sticky egg yolks
Nor milky, opaque prose, just write
With one good squeeze of lemon, folks!
(c) November 23 2011 JAuroraMorealist
Continue reading this story to find out, how it was cooked with delight and fun by Author: JAuroraMorealist
The ingredients:
1. I like to see some ginger kind of feeling in a story of a little girl with some touch of rosemary and cinnamon with a whisk of cheese all over.
2. how about some egg yolks with condense milk and a squeeze of sweet lemon in a poem?

To those who just love challenges how about with the same ingredients above.. you write your own fiction and a poem too and link it to this post?  Let’s see how good you were to cook a story 🙂

Deadline: December 23, 2012

The Spirit of Christmas is here…  Keep on blogging and stay happy!

My Candy-Flavored Submarine

A christmas tree.

She turns to her right side and reaches the lamp to switch it on.

She looks on her watch, “Oh it’s already near midnight.  Why he isn’t home yet.”

She cannot sleep again so she decided to make a coffee and continue to write her novel.

She goes to her study room and opens her MacBook Air.  She’s almost done with her last chapter.
Her mind is pretty occupied to come up with a splendid ending, when all of a sudden, she hears him knocking the door and calling her name, “Lan, darling open up!” Mulan is surprised.   She knows he has his own key.

“Coming!” She shouted and rushed to the door and almost slipped herself to the floor. “Oooops!”

When she opened the door she got more surprise,  “Vian, what happened to you my love?  Why are your clothes wet?” Vianito entered right away and gave her a quick kiss on her cheek.  “I just got to take a shower, my love.  I will tell you later what happened”.

Vianito on his fresh pajamas jumps to bed and embraces Mulan who stays seated on the bed waiting for him to tell her what happened.

“I’m sorry my love I came home late.  I was already on the Buologne Bridge, when I took my cell phone from my pocket to call you.  But I must have pulled it out so strong that my house key came with it.  It was strange because it flew away down the bridge.  So I tried to fish it out.  Hahahaha. “Vianito laughed out loud that even Mulan could not believe it.  They both laughed their heart out, they even got tears in their eyes.

“I did not find my key, but I saw some wasted oil and salad dumped along the lakeshore. It was disgusting how some people litter around.” A bit disappointed.

Then later he gets closer to her to kiss her, “Oh my love, you’re so pretty.  You want me tonight, don’t you, because you are wearing my favorite red lipstick on you, hmmmm?”  He teases her.

“That’s the general idea.” She smiles at him sweetly. “Come here, you naughty, naughty boy.”

Mulan grabs him and kisses him wildly, “You’re right.  I want you.”

Morning came and Mulan woke up late.  Beside her pillow she saw the note that Vianito wrote to her.

Hey sweetie, I didn’t want to wake you up but…

I have your name carved on my submarine
With a teaspoon of candy-flavored paint on my truck.
Oh you my sweet honey you…   You took all of my Sarin
Last night, was a big fight, until now my world, you rock!

Your candy-flavored submarine,

Mulan is happy.  She feels his  love all over her.

Morning sunshine fills her day.

Now she got work to do.  It’s day one of December.  Time to decorate a Christmas Tree.

Well, aren’t we all?
